In order to find the perfect name for your pet Chow Chow, you must study your pet's behavior. Don't rush to give your Chow a name; instead study him for a while. Does he bark a lot? Does he munch? Does he love to curl down beside you or in your lap? Does he have a strange moaning sound? Does he skip away from strangers? Does he look funny when seeing other pets? Is he stubborn or obedient?

Examples: Brady (The Brady Bunch), Cheers (Cheers), Murphy (Murphy Brown), Charmed (Charmed), Frasier (Frasier), Kent (Clark Kent, Superman), Ross (A character in Friends), Chandler (A character in Friends), Paige (A character in Charmed), Piper (A character in Charmed), Ally (Ally McBeal), Jovi (Bon Jovi), Soccer, Volley, Polo, Kobe (Your favorite NBA superstar), and so on.

Choose a name that sounds happy or interesting. It can be an object, a person (just make sure that you're not offending anybody), a flower, a season, a memorable month in a calendar, or even a certain word that's completely an opposite description of your pet.

Examples: Ciggy (Cigarettes), Titter (for your reticent pet), Tiny (for your chubby pet), Teaser ('cause your pet makes you laugh every time you tease him), Orchid, Chloe, Tyra, Gia, Hans, Shane, Lily, Daisy, Summer, Winter, June, April, July, and so on.

Pet names must be easy to call out and short, consisting only of one or two syllables. At the same time, choosing the right name for your Chow Chow is a good chance to reveal your inner self. After all, the name you choose for your Chow will be on your lips for the duration of his or her life. Whatever name you choose for your pet, just make sure it is given from your heart as your beloved companion will feel its warmth for the rest of your time together.
