A good Bloodhound owner is someone who has a leisurely lifestyle and spends time at home or in the yard. You should not have a fast lifestyle or do a lot of traveling. The best owner for a Bloodhound is someone who wants a dog for companionship and love. The owner of a Bloodhound should have plenty of time to train and play with the dog. You need to have patience and understanding. Plenty of understanding is actually required. As a Bloodhound owner, you need to know a few facts about the breed, such as life expectancy, likes and dislikes, what they need to eat, how much exercise they need, and their behavior issues.

What are the Five Reasons to Love a Bloodhound?

The reasons to love a Bloodhound include that
  • They are lovable and take to you almost instantly.

  • They love to play or take long walks.

  • The Bloodhound will be with you in bad times and good and they will not judge you as you judge them.

  • They can provide amusement and help relieve stress as well as being a faithful companion.

  • They grow to be large dogs with some weight behind them, but they are loving and affectionate. Puppies especially are silly puppies to play with as they keep you amused for hours. There are no better reasons than these to love a Bloodhound!

  • Finding a puppy that can make you laugh is important for reducing stress and gives you something to care about and take care of. They are like little kids that need to have a little understanding and training. The Bloodhound puppies are adorable and tend to grow up fast. You will have plenty of time to play with them after the training.

Besides relieving stress and giving you their undivided love, the Bloodhound will be a faithful companion. Taking walks or sitting in front of the television, you will have them right there with you keeping you company. You will never feel alone as long as you have a Bloodhound by your side.

Since they love to walk, the Bloodhounds are exceptional companions when you want to take a walk or go hiking. They are always ready to go with you on a walk; if they had the proper training as a puppy, they will walk nicely on a leash. You can count on having a companion to do almost anything outside.

Taking a ride in the car may be an idea as long as they are accustomed to this as a puppy. They should, however, be taught to stay away from you when you are driving. They tend to want to help you drive if not properly trained on manners in the car.

You will find that besides the drool and occasional chewing, the Bloodhound is a very lovable companion. They are also great therapy animals. Nursing home residents just love seeing a big, silly looking dog come to visit. As they do for you, they will do for others as well; they show affection and make people happy.
