You know how I had that chihuahua that I had to sell due to financial reasons? Well, the breeder contacted me to ask how she is doing (she turned one on October 21st) and I had to inform her of the bad news. She said she was really sorry and that if I am ever in the position to get another chihuahua that she would take half off the price of one of her puppies for me on the condition that if we ever had to sell that dog, she would get first dibs on buying it. That sounds like a good idea to me. What do ya'll think? Her chihuahuas have really good temperments. I think the only thing is that if I did that down the road, the puppy would be Snicker's brother or sister. I'm worried it would remind me too much of Snickers and make me feel bad for parting with her.
Well, go for it if you can. Sounds good that she would take it back! You said that you really loved your other one and had a lot of people ask questions about it so the breeder must know what she is doing.
She usually has only one litter a year around Thanksgiving or Christmas. She told me she has a litter that will be ready right after Thanksgiving, but I don't think I will be ready by then. But next year would be neat. If I can wait that long....lol.
lol acey...yeah, it's already messing with my head, because when she said that, then she sent me an email of the current litter she has saying that I could 'pick one of them if I wanted'. I like female chihuahuas, and she only has one female and she looks exactly like Snickers except shortcoat. They're all cute and only 3 weeks old. Arg. I mean, we're caught up now, but we still have bills. I really want to pay the bills off first. Lol Aisha. That's cute! I will have to keep that in mind. I was thinking ciela..which in Italian means 'heaven' and call her ella. When I do get one that is :)
Beeper, I dont know if you are up to adopting, but look at this sweet face! He is only 13 weeks old too =0) http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=3367308&adTarget=468doggeneral&SessionID=417dad104b3bd41b-app4&display=&preview=1&row=0&tmpl=&stat=
awww that puppy is too cute. We have been seaching the shelters in our area for the past couple of weeks and are on a list for a local rescue agency. In the description it says that they need someone who works part time or not at all. I work full time and go to school so that probably wouldnt work and my boyfriend works two jobs currently. That is part of the reason we are looking for a new dog to keep our chi company because we just recently had to pick up the extra work.
Beeper, this breeder is in Colorado. I'm not sure if she has a website. But I do know she doesn't ship her puppies. I'm not too sure where you live. If you were able to come here, let me know and I can give you her number. :o)
huntersmom, thanks for replying. I am in missouri so I dont know if I could make it to pick a puppy up. I am just looking for a breeder that other people have had a good experience with. I am still waiting for the breeder I got beeper from to get back to me and let me know if she will be having a litter anytime soon.
