Here is my poodles Dogster page, the picture on the bottom is of sasha an undocked poodle. I'm sure you have probably seen a natural tailed poo by now. Now my poodle does not have a correct tail. It should be higher set standing straight up most of the time. Hers is far too low and she is also long bodied. But I love her to pieces. Her tail also could be fluffier. Her coat is not as thick as most poos. She was a pound puppers. Oh, I made her little coat. http://www.dogster.com/pet_page.php?j=t&i=18018
speaking about undocked poodles, I have a question. A couple of weeks ago, someone brought her poodle puppy into our salon and he was undocked, and I am the groomer that ended up with it, and I really didn't know what to do with it, so I banded it and made a long poof. it was cute, but I was wondering if you know, by any chance, what should be done, it looks like yours is shave with just a little poof on the end. This puppy's mommy likes how he looked, I just have never seen an undocked before, and I would like to know in case I see one agian, which I am sure I will.
Thank you for all of your sweet coments. As much as she does not fit into the AKC standards, I have people ask if she is a showdog. Many don't see poodles often. I would say with the tail. If it were in the show ring they do sort of an elonated pom. About the top two thirds. But some people prefer for them to just have a more natural flow to it. My poo does not have the correct coat so hers is more flowy than fluff and will not stay in a ball so to speak. So I can't make a pom like the other poodles have. With hers I go from having it sort of long, sometimes all one length rounding the edges, other times I will brush half towards her bum and trim it right where the shaved part ends. You could search the U.K. for pictures. I do it. I also know someone that grooms her girls and both are eupopean born, one with an undocked tail.
