My boss (our school principal), the Vet Tech instructor and the head of our maintenance deptment called me this morning. The three of them managed to get down to my girl, retrieve her body, brought her home to me and buried her in one of her favorite spots in the backyard with her favorite afghan. My girl is at home where she belongs. Thank you all for you love, support, prayers and well wished. Hopefully the letter to the editor will be published and it will save someone else the same pain.
Oh Pyrmom! That is such good news! I am so glad that she is finally home & buried in her favorite spot! What a great boss & friends you have to have pulled her out! Bless you all! Now I even feel better after this horrible tragedy! Rhonda
I'm so glad to hear that you were able to bring her home. I hope this brings some closure to you and your family. I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful friend. My prayers and good thought are being sent to each one of you...you've been through a horrible time. Cathy
In a very unhappy situation, I'm thankful there are other "angels" out there who do care. The tears begin again. She is in heaven now looking down at peace. Karma and/or God will take care of those "evil" people in time...it's out of our hands. To think those bad people are raising children....sad oh so sad.
I am so happy that you have such a wonderful support group. It's great that they did that for you and I hope it will bring you some peace in this terrible time. I believe in Karma too. Sometimes it takes a long time, but what comes around goes around. Just know that whether you can "see" her or not Angel is there with you.
That was exceptionally thoughtful. Empathy is sorely missing in our society as well as common sense. Things that people have no business involving themselves in they do, things they should involve themselves in: they don't.
Pyrmom, I am so sorry for your loss. I have had problems getting this site to load right the past few days and just found your original thread about the whole thing with Angel. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your story amazed me because of all the kind people that came to your aide. Sometimes I lose faith in people because of how mean and rude they can be in my own state, and your story gave me a little bit of faith in that regards. It's nice to know that there are still very caring people willing to help a person in need. I'm glad that Angel is going to get a proper burial. I'm sure she's looking down on you right now and will always know what a wonderful companion you were for her.
How wonderful and caring people can be to one another in a time of need. I'm thankful that Angel had a proper burial and perhaps now you can rest a little easier knowing she is near you at peace. Prayers still with you in your time of grieving.
