Well I took Bella to the vet on Wed afternoon and had her put down. My heart was breaking everytime I went to bed at night and I had to leave her outside in the cold and then her water would be frozen . She was doing so well on the low protien diet for about a week and then wam she started drinking and peeing so much and in the house. She started to have this very strange oder coming from her and she was trembling all the time .I just couldn't see having her in this state much longer. I stayed with her through the whole thing and took her home and we buried her .It was all so peaceful and calm. She was ready I am sure . The vet figured she must have been worse then we thought for how fast she went. She didn't make a twitch or a noise at all.It was hard to do but I keep reminding myself that she had 8 great weeks with us and I did what I could do. We have a beautiful spot by our brook under a apple tree that we call our pet cemetry and the kids want to plant flowers next spring there to remind us of her. I have to say it was the hardest thing I had to do and I did it all myself on Wed . It was a beautiful day and as I was burying her my other 2 dogs and the 2 pups that are still here were running around this great little spot it was like we were haveing a little ceremony . It was weired . Anyways I better go thanks for all the help in this matter throught the time i had her.

Lisa&Glenn, I"m sorry that you had to go through this. You guys gave her more of a chance at a better life than she ever would have gotten at her previous owners place. At least now she's at peace.

I am really sorry, i had my dog put down a year ago because of health problems and I know it is something you just don't ever really get over. I think it is nice that you ppicked out a nice spot to bury your pup. Benji always sat on top of our hill and looked out over the countryside, he always did it every day, so that is where we buried him.Now everytime I go to that place it is so weird it almost feels like he is still there. Well I will be thinking about you, i am sure you did the right thing, sometimes it is better than letting them suffer.

You did the right thing. My heart goes out to you as I personally know it IS the toughest thing to do. What a perfect spot for Bella! :) She knew you tried everything possible to get her better. aww lisa i am sorry. it sounds like she had gotten really miserable again and just needed to go to be at peace. such a hard thing to do, but she did have a really good place with you guys for the time she had left.

oh I am so sorry to hear about Bella... But I think you did all you could to help her. She is in a better place now. You made a tough choice . We have alot of technology these days to prolong life but that is not always the best. My prayers are with you and your family. Jubilee
