i also was wondering if anyone had heard or tried this brand? i have been using the natural choice puppy and my kids love it so far.
then i got a $10.00 coupon from this new store and went to see if they had natural choice puppy and of course the lady there said it is just a commercial dog food and not good for especially puppies.
she said she was a vet for 12 years and knows alot about these things...then she told me all about this prairie brand so i thought i would give it a try.
well neither of my dogs really liked it too much unless i put a lot of water in it..when the bag was gone i went back to the natural choice and they love it still so i am not changing it again!!!
my one pup some how snuck past the gate and managed to eat a whole full bowl of cat food (innova) and was totally sick all day yesterday...yes the same one who may hav e swallowed the pin but i know that she was sick from the cat food and not the pin, if in fact she did swallow it.
I just switched to prairie from Innova as I think it was causing digestive problems with my 15 month old dog Duncan. I can't really notice a difference with him eating it as far as him liking it. He seems to like it just fine. Duncan's trainer told me some dogs just do better with a food that does not contain Turkey which is why I switched. I guess we will see how it goes in the next few weeks.
The website below has a list of dog food manufacturers who make PRESERVATIVE FREE (without BHA/BHT) premium natural pet food. Or manufacturers that use only top of the line quality human grade ingredients and NO artificial preservatives or additives. I didn't find Prairie brand on the list. But if it's fairly new then that could be why. http://www.doberdogs.com/premium.html
