If anybody is interested in speeding up your internet experience, you may want to download and try Mozilla Foxfire. I put it on my computer this weekend, and the difference in speed compared to Internet Explorer is noticeable. Here is a link to the download site. It is free to download.
Firefox has been my main browser for a long time- not because it's faster than IE... but because it's SAFER.
You won't get spyware and malware and browser hijackers on Gecko based browsers (Mozilla, Netscape, Firefox... ) because that stuff is written to take advantage of security holes in IE.
Firefox has tabs, a built in pop up blocker, a customizable bookmark toolbar, etc. It's NOT compatible with all websites- never delete IE from your system, as 99% of the sites out there are written with IT in mind, and many of them are never tested on other browsers.
My FAVORITE browser is Opera http://www.opera.com/ . It has issues with some poorly tested websites, too- but utilizes GREAT technology- things that IE's monopoly holds back. Their free version of their browser gives you a banner ad- but it's tiny, and doesn't interfere with bandwidth (it's a faster browser than firefox). It has features other free browsers don't- ZOOM, small view (for blackberries, webphones), a great pop up blocker, tons of customization options (the amount of skins available for free download is unbelievable)... it's just an all around fantastic browser.
As for AOL... for shame. :)
AOL isn't compatible with much of anything. Sorry- computer geeks like myself simply MUST turn up our noses at America Online. But my baby sis works for them... so I'll go easy. ;)
Oh, AOL can usually support any browser. Its just that it's features will be redundant in most cases- and buggy in others. :(

AOL is overpriced, preys upon computer novices that don't realize that they could get faster internet access for MUCH cheaper- and the same features for FREE from other browsers, is actually QUITE slow with their software running in the background, installs a bunch of crap you don't ask for on your machine, and sells your information to third parties. :)
AOL users have typically never been internet users WITHOUT AOL... thus, know no better. :(
I don't pay for my service. The main reason I use it, is because when I bought my new computer I got like a year of free AOL service. Y'all would probably use it too if it was free. LOL Trust me I know more about computers than most people do. So does my hubby.
Hey, I have Mozilla too. It really helps with pop-up ads and such. The only thing that sucks is that it makes it harder for you to login to certain things......like this forum. That is why I had such trouble signing up for this forum.
