My poor Tucker. He always has something wrong. While I was gone to the dog show yesterday, I put Tucker and Zoe in the crate. I'm very comfortable leaving them in the crate together now while I'm gone, more comfortable than I am leaving Zoe out of the crate, actually. When I got home last night Tucker had projectile poo'ed all over the bedroom. I know it was Tucker because there was no way that much poo could come out of Zoe. He didn't get any in the crate at all so I didn't have to worry about giving them a bath, I still did anyway but they were fine. As far as poo goes he was back to normal this morning. He just ate WAY to much bully stick yesterday. Well last night when we went to bed Tucker got hot (he over heats very easy), so I went to get him some water. While he was drinking his water he had this thing hanging out of his mouth. I thought it was a piece of his biscuit that I had given him when I put him to bed. Well, it wouldn't come off. I started looking at it and it looked horrible. I took him into the vet this morning and thank goodness its nothing serious. They called it a viral papilloma and said it was like a wart and it would go away on its own. I was so scared. I thought the projectile poo was from the bully stick but after I found this thing in his mouth I was so scared. I was thinking the worst of course. Where was TP when I needed it ?
No its not something contagious to humans. I do have to watch the other puppy though. The adult dogs can't catch it but the puppy may. She's almost 8 months so she may or may not get it. The papilloma should be gone within 8 days I think. He only has one thank goodness. I looked them up on-line yesterday and there were some pictures of puppies on there who's entire mouth was covered. It was so pitiful. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Tucker only gets the one.
