I'm having a hard time waiting for November 28th to come, the day I get Buddy. If you don't already know, Buddy is my new puppy. He is a purebred, male, 7 week old, chocolate, champion lined, show quality Labrador Retriever. I'm having him shipped to me on November 28th. He is AKC registered, has all his vaccinations, is vet examined, comes with a certificate of health, 1 yr. health guarentee, and his own crate. I think I got a good one! The breeder is Jose Mercado and he breeds championed lined Labrador Retrievers in Spain. When I e-mail Jose, he told me that he had over 100 inquiers, and only so many pups. Buddy has already been examined by a vet, and will be again before he leaves to come to the US. He is all vaccinated, and will get another set next week. He comes with a certificate of health from the vet. I was gonna hold off until X-Mas and make Buddy my Christmas present to myself, but I just couldn't wait! Anyway, I was talking to Jose the other day, and he says he only has 16 pups left out of 5 litters. All his five females gave birth around the same time, within weeks of eachother! Is that insane or what? He says he wont be having pups again for a very long time. I feel so fortunate! I'm having such a hard time waiting though. I want my baby now!!! http://www.dogster.com/?87810
What adorable dogs! I sent messages to you asking you and your babies to be puppals!!!
I was nervous about getting an American bred Lab. I've had many Labs before and all have come from US or Canada. Some developed joint problems, others eye, even skin problems. They didn't fit the standard as well as I had hoped. I just decided to go with an International breeder to be safe. Mnay international breeders do a very good job keeping the breed true, at least in this case. I am very happy with my choice. I feel Buddy will be a great additional to my family!

What does a pup from Spain cost? I breed Labs. just curious. The going rate here w/ nice bloodline, certified parents is $850. give or take. My bloodline has Mandigo lines waaay back in the pedigree. Kitty is at http://www.dogster.com/?80922
Before I decided on the breeder I did, I looked at breeders from all over the world! Of course, I set a standard: must be championed blood lined, show quality parents and pups, AKC registered, dual regisitered, current vacs, vet checked, shipping available, min 1 yr health guarentee. Here are the countries and what I found the price ranges are:
LabBuddy, just out of curiosity where do you live? How long will it take to get a puppy shipped from Spain and how much does that cost. A lot of questions, I know. If you don't want to answer that is fine.
