I use Nutro Natural Choice puppy kibble, even on older dogs, I also use Nature's Recipe puppy. I noticed my older dogs had better energy when I used the pup kibble. Label read, AVOID preservatives, in an unpreserved food you will need to date check so it is fresh. AVOID corn, it is for fattening livestock, and chickens. Some people get cheap food at Costco, I did not care for it, but it was cheap. Essentially, you need to go to a petstore to get decent food.
it may have been a lipoma. in general they are nothing to be concerned about. sometimes they will grow to be enormous and rstrict the dogs comfort . just keep an eye on it and if it starts to grow big have it removed
my golden is 10, and he has a small cyst on his chest, tiny ones on one ear and on the inner front leg. they haven't grown but I feel them everyday. if I notice a change, ill definitely have them removed
