I was in Petco one night and these guys thought Oscar was the biggest greyhound they have ever seen. When I told them that he was a Great Dane they were like still saying he was a greyhound. People like that you can't even try to explain things to. But I don't think Oscar even resembles a greyhound. Maybe it's his color. http://www.dogster.com/?50558
When I first got Kai (American Eskimo), people thought that I had a kitten in my carrier because of the white fluff. When he was around 4 months, he looked like a white pomeranian. Now people just say "What kind of dog is she"? She's a he.
I wish people would come up and ask. I wouldnt mind that at all, they come up to pet her anyways. Maybe now that her butt is shaved they'll see there's nothing back there and know that she's a she not a he
Merico, I have to admit, Kiba does look a little Scottish!!!! She is so frickin' cute. I picture Schnauzer's with that little Walrus like mustache and grayish in color. That's because I guess those are the only Schnauzer's I've seen. Kiba is sooo much cuter than any Snauzer I have ever seen.

I mostly get people saying that he is a pug...or a fat Boston Terrier. No worries though, I am ALWAYS quick to correct! "Did you clip your pugs ears?" "What a fat little boxer pup""Your boston has a HUGE head!"
The latest was my favorite though....I was standing outside of wallmart with Ivan and a lady walked out. SHe was about 7 ft away and just stopped dead in her tracks and said "Wow...I have never seen one of those in real life before"...then she took a step back and said "is it a pit bull?"
or how about: I was at PetSmart and one of the employee's came up to me to ask if I needed any help. I said no. Then she asked if she could pet my dog....i said "Of course, he would love that." then she said "I thought I had better ask, you can never be too careful with this breed of dog!"
All I could think was...what kind of dog could you possibly think he is?
People will usually tell me that Minnie is the biggest dalmation they have ever seen. She's brown and white. I know there are liver spotted dalmations, but they actually have spots. Minnie looks like a Harlequin Great Dane, but brown torn patches instead the black. I smile and nod.
