Dear Rudylvr- I was wondering about that Yorkie you have. I would love to give it a great home. My family really wants a yorkie, we just refuse to spend thousands of dollars on a dog. Could you tell me your location so I can determine whether or not I could drive to pick it up or look at it? I can say we would give it a great loving home.
I looked back and read the original post and it looked real and didn't seem like a troll to me .Only thing is she stated she worked full time and didn't have time to help her Mom .That really bothered me I took care of my Mom after she had her stroke until she passed last year. When it comes to your MOM you should do what needs to be done to help her and be with her as much as you can because when they are gone , boy its so lonely with out them,I miss my Mom so much the pain doesn't go away >
Rudyluver is a junior member. I am not sure that she/he meant that she could not help her mom, or if she was saying she couldn't help with the dog. Whether she actually has a Yorkie and wants to give it away, I don't know. If she runs an ad for a free Yorkie, who do you think will be the first at her door? You can't just give a Yorkie to anyone and know that it will be well taken care of, and I would want to know a lot about it before taking it in.
Yes Cricket I too believe a yorkie doesn't just belong too anyone, I could not believe my ears when my friend told me that her grandaughter got one for her 8 bd and she bought her a puppy purse for her like she was a play toy.I just don't understand this, she also told me that it is an outside dog and has been for sometime now ,she is 7 months old.
A yorkie? As an outside dog? Where do they live? I mean I might understand if it was like florida or something but like here, it is freaking cold out. My dogs do not like to go out at all and they have alot of fur!
debg, that is what I was talking about when I said a Yorkie isn't for just anyone. An eight year old would definitely be ruled out with me. Keeping a Yorkie outside is just cruel. Is it real small? Some are not, you know? Even so, I just don't get that.
Well I want the Yorkie because I know I could provide it with a very loving home. If i was to get it though, I wouldn't just have it shipped to me. Of course I would go check it out and have them take it to the vet prior to my arrival. Yorkies can be very fragile dogs, and it would not be left outside for long periods of time. Someone would be home most of the day to take care of it. My family and I would be thrilled to have one, but we just don't have a thousand dollars to buy one.
oh and this was pretty much just a bump for rudyluvr. haha. :)
Nope, I'm not a troll. This is for real!!! My mother has a registered AKC Yorkie. He is a year old. She has not had him neutered yet, unfortunately. But, he is a very nice dog. We live in Western Michigan. I would help my mother with just about anything in the world, but I don't have the time to interview bunches of owners for her dog. My mother can't handle it very well right now either because of grieving the lossof my Dad a few months ago. She paid $650 for Tiger and is willing to give him to a good home because she cares so much for him. Times have been tough for her lately. I have been talking to people I know and may come up with something that isn't quite so time consuming, but until then, I'm open to just about any suggestions.
Sorry I haven't gotten back with any responses.... Just got back from vacation and then today, my Rudy was neutered. Boy, did I feel like the Christmas Scrooge. Couldn't feed him this morning - I felt so guilty, the little guy had no idea what was going on. (What a 6 mos. birthday present huh!!!) Then, when I picked him up this afternoon he looked so sad. I know it's the best, but he's my baby and I spoil him rotten. Hate to see him like this. I know tomorrow will be a whole lot better.
