I'm home today because my car is sick so I'm watching Animal Planet.
Gang members put a puppy on a bbq grill in a park and set him on fire. A girl saw the dog running through the park ON FIRE, caught him and reported it to Animal Protective Services. He was burned over 40% of his body, his tail was practically burned through and had to be amputated. I am about to cry. Fire is my worst fear, I can't imagine being on fire. How can people be so cruel, I just don't understand.
How nasty is that!?!?! I can't believe people can be so evil!
I remember when I was a kid, some neighborhood hoodlums put a half-grown cat into a trash dumpster and banged on it for a few minutes, just to see the cat's reaction...which wasn't good. Poor kitty!!! Only one good thing came out of the episode, I never hung out with the hoodlums again, and it taught me a great lesson: animals deserve to be treated as well as you expect yourself to be treated!
P.S. The cat was okay after a minute or two, and I took her away from those nasty people!
You know, I saw the very end of that one a long time ago and never got to see the first part of it and now I'm mad that I missed it!! But yes it sucks that the world has to have such nasty people in it. I just hope that every single one of them has to endure the pain and suffering they inflicted on the animals they harmed. Even if it was kids doing it, I don't care. The parents are obviously not too involved with their children's lives, otherwise they would have taught them that every living creature on earth deserves to be treated with the same respect as you would another person.
The pup had multiple surgeries and was eventually adopted. She turned out pretty good, she had some places where hair wouldn't grow and her belly was scarred. The last surgery they had to do was to stretch the skin between her back legs so she could walk normally. The vet said she walked like a lady in a tight skirt because her skin was so tight. She looked like a golden mix.
