There are tons of options but it seems like all of the big money right now is in selling pet items. I hear storys all the time of people who create there own line of dog clothes or collars and get rich. Just think about how much money people spend on their pet anyway. Another thing I think is really taking of is like doggie day cares and pet sitters it seems like they get more popular all the time, I am sure any kind of animal trainers are always in good demand also. If I lived in a town or a city I would start a doggie day care, but unfortunatly I ive in the middle of nowhere so it wouldn't really go over where I am at.
I'm doing a vet assistant thing over the internet. It's great cause you can do it on your own time. Now I'm starting to get worried I won't find a job involving animals that pay, ( I can't afford to volunteer for a while at least) If I could get a job somewhere doing office work, as long as it involves animals, I would volunteer in a heartbeat!
Animal careers are sadly on the lo pay scale but I'm not in it for the money!
well yah I was thinking of being a nurse, but i couldn't do my pure math so i dropped down to applied. But, u see i live on a farm in alberta, so i'm around cattle all the time. I love it. There is this college near here and i'm kinda interested in schooling there to be a animal health technision but i donno. thats what i mean non of them make alot of money i love people and animals!!AHHHH!!
Someone needs to get a brain and run the pound over here! They put people in charge of it that care nothing about the animals. I think they are elected and it may be difficult to get into but it really could help a lot of animals. Even our shelter had a problem with the people running it. Most community colleges offer a vet tech program. The pay isn't the best but if its what you want to do then its worth it. Someone I went to high school with is apparently taking some kind of zoo training. I don't know anything about it though.
I live and work in a no-crate kennel that offers doggie daycare, obedience classes, and petsitting services. I love my job--gave up a career in academia to work here. But, you should be aware that the pay is terrible, not just for the employees, but for the owner, too. Twenty to forty uncrated dogs put a lot of wear and tear on a building.
Golden. Get vocational training. I am xxxeducated, I am a waitress. I am poor. Get training to do something, not just education. I am so educated. Talk to the counselors about jobs, and focus. I did not. You do not want to tread this path.
