It's not like she's starving or anything but the owner is thinking of getting rid of her, cuz she can't take care of her anymore. The GS, lou-lou, is very young and the owner was even thinking of breeding the poor baby! I don't believe lou-lou is even a year old! Lou-lou is very friendly and would be good for a home with kids, not really young ones though because she is still young herself and attention starved, so you can imagine that she is very hyper and jumpy.
If anyone could give me info for a rescue in Pennsylvania or one that is willing to drive to pick her up. Please let me know ASAP! I have offered to take her, but i KNOW it won't fly with my parents, so i wouldn't be able to keep her for long. Please help me out! Thanks!

rescues wont take owner surrenders unless its from the owner- hence 'owner' surrender. you cant just tak someones dog adn turn it in to t rescue, believe me if you could i'd steal my neighbors westie adn send her to resce so she could find the home she deserves. can you get the lady to sign the dog over to you, then you can surrender her?
Scout, thanks for you post! i haven't gotten any reply yet from anyone, but at least people have looked at it. lol!
how much should GS's weigh around...maybe 6 months? I am guessing that's how old this poor baby is because of how small she is right now. I can feel her ribs really easily, probably would be able to count them if i wanted to. She is being negleted. She had no water yesterday and no food. and there was no evidence of food in the house. (i went looking for it so i could feed her)
i don't know what else to do. If i don't find a GSD rescue I know we can always take her to our local shelter, and they are low kill. I know she wouldn't have a problem being adopted out. She is VERY friendly and affectionate, but she is also very hyper. Like i believe i have said, i would love to keep her, but with the new baby and all, i don't think i would have the patience to train her properly, and i know she's most likely not house broken considering she lives outside.
country-gal, that's great! I would rather try and figure something out with you then not know who's getting her. She is such a wonderful dog. If i do end up getting her maybe we could meet up sometime during the holidays. My hubby and I were planing on going away for New Years Eve anyways. But i do need to talk to him about it. I'll try to get a picture of her up on dogster next time i babysit. another thing about her is that she is not spayed. the owner was planing on breeding her. I just am praying that somehow we can work something out...and that i get her. *keeping fingers crossed*
my buddy isnt neutered...so dont worry about it. buddy gets his for free since i adopted him the local pound. they pay for his neutering. i can taker lou-lou and get her spayed at the spca for half the price. but ya. buddy is so lonely and cries all the time when im not home. he is only 3months but i know he misses his litter mates. so i figure someone who is around his age near his bread might be best. to keep him company when im gone. my house is small but i have wonderful big back yard that overlooks a wonderfull forest of trees and flowers. secluded and tucked away. its a dogs heaven. i let buddy roam free in the yard for hours.
that's another thing country-gal, lou-lou lives outside! and it's been really cold around here...it's not right now, but earlier in the week it was WAY below freezing...14 degrees...and she was outside the whole time i believe. I soooo want to save this darling! The only thing is I don't think she is house-broken since she has been living outside. If i do get her i'll try to work on it with her till we can get her to you. My hubby has agreed to help transport! (I love him ta bits!) I know you will love her tons! I will try ta get a picture of her online before too long. thanks again!
well lou lou wont have to worry about living outside. i have nice warm home. its small but not permanent. but a very loving home. me and my dog buddy are celebrating our first christmas. i just wrapped his presents today. im so exciting. he was the first one i shopped for. he got a new bed and a new toy and some yummy treats all for him. i know buddy cant wait till he meets lou-lou he is so lonely. and he will neutered by next month lol! so no worrys..lol! Merry christmas lily wolf!
well, i got some pictures of her and her living conditions. But i can't seem to get them off the cam. My dad said he has some programs that will get them off for me...so i should have them in a couple of days so you guyz can finally see her.
