I'll be home just me my son and the pups. Hubbys gotta work and I have to be a work at 6AM New Years Day so i'll prolly be asleep before the ball drops. Loads of fun. Plus staying home is just so much safer. Tpp many crazied drunks on the roads. Someone said it and I'll say it again. To many people that only drink once a year on the roads. They all think they can just hop in the car and go! Ends up ruining someones life and their own!
I had my best friend killed 4 years back on New Years from a drunk driver. Guy didn't even relize he had hit anyone and drove home. Woke up the next moring with blood all over his car and decided it would be best to call the police himself. Now he is right were he belongs, behind bars for life!
In my city (Townsville, Australia), the New Years Eve festivities are still going on but the big finale ie fire works etc have been cancelled. The Townsville City Council has instead donated that money ($30,000) to the Tsunami victims in Asia after that horrible earthquake and following tsunamis. What an absolute tragedy!
Yesterday and today, Australia (through World Vision only) donated over $8 million towards all these poor, poor victims. There are still Australians missing, many dead...not to mention the death toll at over 120,000 and millions homeless.
I hope America is getting behind this too...please, please donate some money!!! Please! We are getting A LOT of coverage on TV here and is just horrific.
