I would love, if anyone has, information on this breed. It looks like a breed that you would think would be highly popular! I don't see many ads! I think it is awesome from what I have read! Do any of you know of any!
I know that Trish Slack of Keatons Kennels sells those puppies so make sure you don't wind up looking at one from her. If you are unfamiliar with who that is, she is a puppy broker who imports sick and dying puppies and sells them all over the place to unsuspecting people. There was a thread posted in the last few months titled "we were sold two sick puppies who died". She sells english and french bulldogs also. Beware!
Havanese are wonderful, happy and fun companions. They have long silky hair that needs frequent brushing and grooming. If you keep up with it, the hair is easy to take care of. They come in many colors with white being the rarest. They do not shed, thus are considered hypo-allergenic. They are in the Bichon family along with Maltese,Bichon Frise, Lowchien and the Coton de Tulear (for which I'm a breeder). They are very popular now that they are recognized by the AKC. For more info please go to www.havanese.org. There are more and more Havanese in rescues. If you're not interested in a rescue, PLEASE PLEASE find a reputable breeder. They are a little pricey but worth it. If you need assistance finding a good breeder, I can help you. Cochon
