Sorry folks, I don't mean this toward everyone here. I realize that some of you other adults (and SOME of the young people here) are here because you want to get or give good pet info. But lately it seems this forum has become more of a teen ( or younger) support group.

I have my own teen if I want to deal with that sort of stuff. I really don't want to hear about it, or deal with it when I looking for honest information.

I'll keep checking back, and I'll reply of ask question to or from people I believe want the same things I want from this forum. But MODS, this stuff really needs to stop.

I'm 13...and I think..the youngest member on the forum. I have never posted anything like that before, only forum or pet related...umm...yeah.

It is more of a breath of fresh air for me. I was getting pretty sick of the "adults" on here fighting all the time. I have no complaints toward the forum right now.

I agree...it seems to go in waves here...you get a lot of new people, aruging with the "kiddies" because they don't know the age of them. Of course if it is known how old some of them are, it makes sense the reactions you get. I sometimes can't believe the way the "kiddies" talk here. So of them do deserve to be heard, but when they are always attacking the new members because they feel they are stupid...it makes me sad. Everyone has a valid point to make in response to a topic, so be it. But what has happened to being polite. Telling people that they are idoits because the want a mixed breed or a pure breed is not going to make your point. To each his own. If I wanted a mix dog, that doesn't mean I'm stupid, and neither does wanting a pure breed. Yes there are tons of dogs in shelters and it is a good idea to look there if you don't care what kind of dog you have and why it is there. I for one, like to know something about the dog and background of the dog I'm getting.

Most of the time I sit back and just shake my head at some of the replies given to people. It isn't just the kids that are rude, there are many adults that are rude too, but it is because of the way they are spoken to. What difference does it make, what kind of animal you have. The important thing is that you are being responsible owners and are giving your pet the best life they can have. How many of the "kiddies" have full say on what animals they have in their home? Usually it is up to the parents, and I'm sure if they talk like they do here, to their parents or friends...they must be lonely.

It would be nice if this site could work like alot of others I'm on, and have profiles, we would know alittle more on who we are talking to.

jbg, if you are talking about the 'shichon' post, chili and I, the 'kiddies' were only suggesting (or at least I was) that it's ridiculious to spend over $300 on a mutt, then rather rescue a homeless one for like $75....

I have never posted anything rude before, unless I read the post wrong.

I'm talking about the rude kids on this forum...there are a lot of them. I wasn't refering to that post. I'm talking about the overall response we get from the kids. I personally feel that there should be a seperate area for the kids to be in, OR, to have something in your profile if it would ever work...so that people know who they are talking about. It is very plain in the response from oodles, that we don't know how we are dealing with and it isn't always the kids that are rude. There are a lot of people that certainly don't act their age...that goes both ways. What gets me is when a kid makes a rude reponse to someone and we are suppose to give them a break cuz they are a kid....I don't think so. I treat people the way I'm treated. Yes, I have a problem with a few people...if there was a way to pm them...I would, but until that happens, we have to deal with it.

Yes, I saw oodles post. That freaked me out. There has been so much fighting on the forum lately...

I know of lots of kids on the forum...like Allie..and me...for example. I'm a kid, and I don't care, I think I should be treated the exact same way as a rude adult, if I...was ever rude.

Well i am most likely one of the "kiddies" of this forum, since i'm only 17. and i would prefer to be treated like any adult on the forum, and not like a kid. yes, i realize that i'm younger than a lot of the members, but that doesn't mean i want to be treated differently. if i am rude, or do something that annoys someone else, i want them to treat me like they would pearl, or any other adult on the site, i don't want them to treat me like i'm some little kid.

Tj: it was I who referred to the kids as "kiddies" and they knew who I was talking about. I don't consider a 17 year old to be a kid...unless you prove otherwise.

I just wanted to clear that up...As a general statement, not all of the kids here are "kiddies...just the ones that act like it.

Yes, I agree with Tj. I'm the youngest membe rof the forum, 13. And I honestly don't think you can judge anyone by age...treat any rude kids jsut like a rude adult.
