the first is a 5 yr old blk lab. she is very smart, energetic, dominant, obediant when she feels like it, and stubborn. i sold her 2 previous times and she keeps getting returned to me. she is a good girl, just too smart for some people i guess. for example: if you try to leave her out at night, she'll bark till you let her in. i would feel terrible getting rid of her because it would be the third time but i know she'll have an "ok i'm here" attitude where ever she goes.
the second is a 3 yr old american bulldog. he is very smart, obediant (all of the time), calm, and quiet. he is also sick. he needs a daily pill. when me and my x split up, i took him with me. he was extreamly timid and scaredlike. he was even afraid to walk through the living room in order to go out. ofcoarse, he was back to normal after a while. if i get rid of him, im scared he'll turn into a basketcase and people wont want him.
im leaning toward keeping the bulldog because, A) the building im moving to is quiet, my lab at times is not B) even though i got rid of my lab 2 previous times, i know she'll be fine, and i cant say the same for my sick bulldog
If I *HAD* to give up one of my dogs, which I never ever would, but if I were being completely forced, I would give up my chihuahua Ace. Only for the fact that he would be able to adapt better in a new situation than Summer would. Summer is very very shy and shakes nervously when she is frightened (like on Xmas when my cousins were chasing her). My grandma told me a few months ago that I would never be able to get rid of Summer because she would die of a broken heart, she is really attached to me. Ahh I dont like to think about giving one of them up.
So I guess since you're in that situation I would suggest the lab, since your other dog you said would be a basketcase. At least if the lab were easy going she might not mind the change as much as the other dog.
