Piper has these bright red bumps on her private area that are bright red and blistery looking.I've never seen anything like this in my life. I was hoping maybe someone has had experience with this ,and maybe you could tell me what's going on. She does have an appointment with the vet for her spay in a couple of days.I need some insight as what these are. They don't bother her,or prevent her from peeing, she has no discharge from the bumps. Some seem like they could be drying up.Any insight I would appreciate it.
Has the dog been in any fields, tall grass, bushy areas, is it only around where she pees or is it also on her belly. When she pees, some dogs do touch the ground. Could be an allergic reaction to something she touched. Is she itchy there. If you scratch the area does she move her leg as if to scratch, does she like it when you scratch the area. Pits and Staffs are know to be sensitive to their environment (outdoors) some get hives, pustules, sore etc.....Tell the vet about it, they could give you something to keep on hand if she flares up.
Hi! I noticed the same thing on my 5-month old Goldens groin area. He's been just biting and biting that area like he's got fleas, which is possible, but I don't see any on him. His are'nt bright red, but they are small red bumps. I was wondering what they were as well, and what I should do about it. He's not an outdoor dog, but he does run around our house and deck. He goes outside on the leash to potty and does get into leaves, grass and that sort of thing. I'll take any suggestions, as well. Sorry I could help on this one.
It's only where she pees, all around that area. They don't seem to bother her.I inspect the area and she lets me,she has no pain,it doesn't seem to itch, she pees fine,no dicharge. They are blistery looking bright red bumps. A little bigger then a pimple, maybe a boil size.
