I have a adult dog and recently bought a puppy bitch, he seems very wary of being around ner as she nips at him. Only thing is the more i keep them away the more she wants to enthusaticaly nip at him, h doesnt like it but he doesnt bite back, he just turns his head away, but you can see him getting stressed out about it. the puppy also pines for him if shes not allowed to play with the adult dog, and i feel unfair having to keep them separate.
Does anyone have any advice as what to do

my husband and i also just added a puppy to our household in which we already had a 2 yr old male bulldog. the puppy is of the same breed and also a male. We let the two roughhouse/play for certain periods of time during the day only under our supervision. we give the older dog time away from the puppy and he has his own toys, places to sit and privledges. at times he does want to play and at other times he wants to be left alone. at those times we seperate the two, even if it is one or both of us sitting in between them. so far this mathod has worked, but i am sure we will revise it as the two grow older!
Don't always try to be smarter than the dog. Scold the puppy when she is being annoying, and praise the one who is being annoyed. They will learn to love each other in time. People have to remember that they are the boss and almost all dogs will follow the "family" rules.
always give your older dog attention first since he is the one you need to make feel like the new puppy will not take any of the love you have for him away because of the puppy. dogs do get jealous, but gradually he will come to see you love him, and the puppy is not going to replace him.
