Summer is coming but the transistion between winter and spring is just fun is it not? With everything melting and flooding poor Aisha is constantly full of mud! It is driving me nuts. The poor thing runs and she is covered literally from head to toe so she has to stay tied up outside long enough to dry and by then she needs to go out again!
Just wondering if your all having a good time with this too?!
I have a remedy for this, i don't know how long this will work for but its great now. when we go outside, i leave baby wipes and a oversized bath towel infront of the door. Before we come in i throw the towel over Logan, flip him, rub him dry and then wipe his belly, and paws with baby wipes. This is working great now, like I said, he is only 9 weeks and 20lbs. we'll see what happens in a year.
Exactly let me know what happens one year from now lol. I also can bet that your puppy does not shed right now either haha. I can go through at least 3 large bath towels before I get half dry and some mud off of her now. Plus the fact that she has a personal issue with the towels and hates to be touched by them lol.
Scout, yes i did get your emails so I guess you did not get mine. I found out that aol and Hotmail hate each other lol. This is what I have learned
AOL recently made changes to their email system to reduce span sent to their customrers however this change has the unintended consequence of keeping certain legitimate email messages from entering their ststem.
As msn hotmail continues to work with aol on a solutuon here are some steps you can take that may help contact your network admin or your internet provider and ask that they contact aol to ensure your ispls address is on aols save list.
So, I guess that is what I will have to do if we ever want to talk to each other again lol. I will do what I can.
No mud here today. It's around 70 and beautiful! Aisha, it's good to hear from you! What a coincidence, too. I went to Aisha's dogster page maybe 2 days ago and tried to send you a message just to say hi and it said you were not accepting emails.
oh aisha that stinks. mybe i will try and see if i can set up another account. if i can i will let you know asap. i miss hearing from you. things have been kinda crazy around the house in the past few weeks. did you see the newspaper articles ? that explained alot. if you didnt read them let me know and i will email you and explain everything. was n the t.v. too :(
Shiny, I got your dogster message and I replied this morning. I am so sorry to hear about Missy and I know how tough that must of been for you. It was great hearing from you and I wish you luck with your new pup.
Scout, No, I got something from you briefly something about sewers or flooding but it was short and sweet so I have no idea the extent of damage. Sorry, sounds rough.
The weather here is great also but the grass is nearly flooded in some areas with everything melting at once as we have been getting some warm days. Poor Aisha looks so sad half the time and she actually knows when she is dirty because she is slinking towards the house with her ears pinned back and slowly walks up the steps and sits on her chair and lifts her chin so I can tie her up lol.
oh youmissed out on the porta john story and the water tanker truck. you have alot of catching up. i'' email ya tonite when i get home from work. though i must say bessie tells the story better then me lol .
Oh, yes we hate mud too! But so far so good. We've had beautiful days, in the upper 70's to 80's. However where my mom lives it rains more often and they have a creek in their back yard! Her boston terrier loves to run through it! He thinks it's great fun! She is frustrated though because she has to bathe him several times a day! It must be dog thing to love mud because when I took my Jada to visit she enjoyed the creek as well!
I am not having that problem right now, besides my girls are big dorks, they don't like to get dirty. Especially Nikko, she's like a little princess and tip toes over wet spots or goes around it. ChiChi will romp around in it, but she's terrified to be outside alone, so she'll usually just do her business and come right back in.
Although the other day I was trimming ChiChi's nails and I'd clip one, she run off like a crazy person then come back and run off and kept doing it until every nail was cut....but..I did end up getting a lot of mud on me and she was no longer my white and orange dog...just brown.
I hate it! It has been raining here is Boise, Idaho almost non stop for the past two weeks. It was 65-70 degrees(above normal for Idaho at this time of the year but I loved it), sunny, and blue skies but now it's rainy, cold, and dark!
My Golden Retriever, Kelsey, is always muddy and so is my Parson Russell Terrier, Jackson. Jackson isn't as bad as Kelsey though. Everytime I mop the floor or wash my jeans, they seem to get extra muddy.
Well it was good to see Aisha and pound puggle...havent seen them on in a long time...Hope all is well...
as for the mud...I have a newly fenced in back yard that was newly landscaped last summer...no grass yet...just mud! It has been a bite...all the dogs especially the GSD's really wollow in it...I did hear frogs today for the first time...spring is here...to turning back now...have buzzards and frogs...its officail...there is some areas of snow on the ground still...but it is melting...but we have not seen super temps that some of you mentioned...must be nice...Im thankful if it is over 40...lol...
we too have a back yard of mud. actually, clay mud. its awful. i cant wait to grow grass. nw the pups come in and run right to the basement door, so we can go and rinse off in the laundry tub (they are only 18# so i can toss them in) and then i let them roam down there to dry off. that, or (on weekends mostly) they come nside directly for a nap in their crates; by the time i let them out they are clean again. thank god american eskimos are self cleaning. i dont knwo where the mud goes, but they dry, clean adn i never find the dirt/mud. its delightful.
