I have some sad news...for anyone that knows about my Parson (Jack) Russell Terrier, Jackson, that I got on 12/30/04. Well, I also have a 21-month-old, female, Golden Retriever named Kelsey and both of them have gotten along VERY well ever since I got him. Kelsey is very paitent and tolerant of Jackson who loves to bite her, kind of hard most of the time...he pulls on her ears, nose, tail, paws, etc. She just walks aways when he does that but any other dog would attack him...today Kelsey and Jackson got in their first fight and Kelsey gave Jackson a bruise on his face by his eye. This was at 12:30 pm. So, I put Kelsey outside and then put Jackson in his crate while I went back to school for two more hours. I thought both of them would of forgotten about the fight since it was two hours earlier...I decided to take Jackson out in the backyard with me to see if they got along again(I held him in my arms)...then Jackson struggled to get out of my arms to attack her....Kelsey jumped up to see both of us and Jackson almost vicously bit Kelsey's face but I noticed him going for her so I pulled back just in time. I kept them seperated then I had to go to work for three hours so I put Jackson back in his crate...I got home at 9:00 pm. tied Jackson to a chair in my living room while I walked Kelsey through on a leash to put her to bed and some how Jackson got untied and came VICOUSLY after her and attacked her side...I quickly grabbed him up...put him in his crate...then put Kelsey in hers...got him back out and just held him and asked why do you have to do this? I know from past experience that it doesn't seem that he is going to stop acting like this. I'm surious when I say it was vicous. I'm going to give him until tomorrow, see if they are friendly(I doubt it) and if not I'm going to have to sell him to people who don't own other dogs. He gets along with cats though. He is great with people and cats, playful, 4-months-old, neutered, has all shots except his rabies. I'm sure he will find a great home and I'll make sure of it, of course. Just thought I should share with you. Sorry about the long message, I just had to vent a little.
