I am going to put both of my little dogs in a box and ship them to Jupiter or some equally far away place. After being mild mannered and well behaved for too long, both Daisy and Tyke have decided to play house while I am at work.
Either they go in crates when I leave or in a box with no return address. (hmmm, that sounds tempting)
Today I got home to chewed up yellow fiberglass insulation in the back hall. They must have really hunted to find that, it was around the water pipes that go through the cement block wall into the basement. Not accessable, except by 2 crafty little dogs. The insulation was there for years, no other dog or cat has ever found it, or if they did, they did not touch it. Now I have it shredded on the carpet.
They also took out a car air freshener tag that was supposedly out of their reach.
Yesterday, they took my new digital camera off the desk and had that on the floor. Good thing I had removed the batteries, or who knows what kind of pictures they would have taken?
Last week, they got into the foil wrapped Easter eggs. Ate the chocolate, foil and all.
If you find a Shihtzu and a Japanese Chin in your mailbox, at least you will know where they came from. I should have stuck with Bassets, they were so much easier.
Very frustrating!!!!! Keep your puppies. Put them in a crate when you can't watch them. I am sure there are days everyone here feels like shipping out their dogs but what would we do without them.
We don't leave Georgie alone much and at home she would go in the crate before we would leave her alone. At work, we do leave her in the back area loose and we come in and out. The other day she chewed an electrical cord that was not plugged in. (Thank God!!) She chewed it pretty good. We were hoping she did not eat any but the next day she pooped a piece of black rubber and a small piece of copper wire. Scary and now my husband will not leave any cords out.
OMG That is funny the way you put it. Guess it could have be worse. Just think about the pictures they could have taken...lol Sorry to hear you went through that. One day I left my Rat terr/jack have run of the house, well I didn't shut my bedroom door and my husband had a signed picture of one of the RED WING players WAYNE GRETSKY, just left on the night stand after looking at the picture because of a mark that was on it. Never put it back in the frame, WELL GUESS WHAT MY LITTLE RIN DID,,, He made puzzle pieces out of the picture only 50 piece puzzle easy to do, but OMG my husband almost sent him off with no return. The stories we call tell about our lovely babies.
Want to hear the latest on Tyke? He decided to find a way out of the pen, for the life of me I can't find where he snuck out, he certainly cannot jump over the fence.
Well, it was just what I wanted to do after working all day, drive up and down the streets and question everyone I saw if they saw a little black and white long haired dog. I brought Daisy with in the car, so they could see what size he was.
A lady that lives near here admitted that the dog was following her kids down the street, they never bothered to see if the dog belonged to anyone.
Several people reported seeing Tyke, but no one had held onto him. We called the police, since animal control was closed already.
He ended up way back in the trailer court, about 4 blocks from my house. My Mom had taken her van and searched in the trailer park. Some lady in the very last row had him at her house.
He is really dirty, I should throw the little scally wag in the tub, but I don't have the energy now. He must have dug his way under the fence. He's exhausted and is laying on the floor with his head down on his paws.
Well, I think that he needs a good walk now, exhausted or not. We are off to the park to walk along the lake. I will take Daisy and Tyke, April will bring her Rottweiler Hercules.
I'm just not having a good day with my dogs, but it will get better, I hope.
That is so funny. You should have mine. They sleep (except to take time to eat) around the clock. These have got to be the laziest dogs I have ever seen. They have certain places they lay and they sleep all day. They get up long enough to watch for the postman and then its back to bed until dinner. They eat dinner and its back to bed until bedtime. Mandy starts walking the floor about 10:00 because she wants her bed took into our bedroom so she can go to sleep.
My doberman pup gets into things no other puppy or kitten we ever had did. About 2 weeks ago my wife brought home a boxed pound cake, that evening she started to tell me off as I not only ate the entire cake but I then left the empty box on the counter top. I didn't even know she bought the cake. The next evening she bought another and we witnessed our pup open the box, eat the entire cake, leave the paper it was baked in and then close the box. The bright side of this is the fun while my wife was making up to me for the night before.
