once or twice a year my friend and i have a litter of corgis only a few will have black noses they will be pink for about 12 weeks or more. they will start to get black spots that will just all come together. dont worry it looks a bit funny but it will change. good luck on one of the best dogs in the world.
When we first got our boxer puppy, she had a pink nose with black spots. She was 8 weeks old then. It wasnt long before her nose was completely black. This might not be too much help b/c youre asking about a corgi and im talking about a boxer, but i thought i would just share
My puppies all had black pigmentation by a week, but then how much white is around the nose? That will slow pigmentation. Don't worry until around 8 weeks, it should be mostly filled. Also merles can not close as quickly as others.
He is a really nice black tri and I really don't want to get rid of him.
Though I'm not sure my husband is all that happy about that. He seemed kind of relieved when I told him that I was think of sell the puppy. Though that could also be because he doesn't like the name I gave the puppy.
When I had my first litter of westies, their noses blackened right away-it was in the summer. When I had my 2nd litter it was in the winter and they took forever. So I consulted my mentor who told me that the melatonin in the skin responds and darkens in sunlight. I had moved the puppies away from the window in case of drafts and they couldn't play in the snow at their age. Shortly after they were placed, the weather became favorable in their new homes and their noses darkened very fast!
