APBT Pup checks out great with Vet and registered with UKC trying to get AKC. He eats good but for some reason isn't gaining as much weight as his peers. I'm feeding him science diet puppy Chicken Entree (wet) 3 times a day (½ cup), and leaving science diet puppy (dry) for him to eat at his convenience. Is this diet good enough or am I missing something? Also, are there supplemental vitamins and things to give APBT pups?
Well these pictures look good, if the other pups are eating something different, there may be more fat in it or fillers. Not every pup is the same size or weight. He looks great, you don't want a fat puppy. If hes getting enough to eat and eating well, then thats great. With Science diet he will not have to consume as much as other brands. And the diet will help keep him on track. Is the diet large breed.
Your puppy looks perfectly healthy and normal to me and very cute. I wouldn't worry if he is eating and acting normal some APBT are genetically thin. Also if your puppy is an APBT he will not be able to be registered with the AKC. Pit bulls are not recognized by the AKC. The ADBA and the UKC are the more reputable of APBT registries.
