This is the first time she has been left alone for so many hours. Usually its no more than 2 to 4 hours at the most. She was so happy to see me when i got home and proberbly said to herself thank god. First thing i did is walk her of course, and she did her thing, or should i say both things as soon as i got her outside. She will be 5 months young in a few days, and we are so proud of her. !!!!!SHE'S SUCH A GOOD GIRL!!!!!

That is great that she was able to hold it longer. I hope when my dane gets that age she will be almost trained because can you see a great dane puppy at 5 months old and weighs about 70lbs pooping in the house!LOL! I hope I have your luck. Plus i'm home all day with my baby. I even changed my shift at work to be albe to spend time with the puppy and not have to leave her home alone for to long.Keep up with the good work!!
Your right therapy mom she peed in the house last night. Its weird because i had just finished walking her, and she did her stuff. Obveiously she had to releive herself some more and did. All in all she is doing good. She is now 5 month's old ( how time flys) and of course still going thru her puppyhood, teething, enjoying a good sneaker or sock now and then and other puppy things. It's not easy raising your first puppy but the results are rewarding for us as well as for her. In another month and half we will go thru another stage of being responsible owners and have her spayed. Every day is an adventure with her and we love it. Who knows maybe eventually we will get another pup so she can have a playmate. Like i said maybe and eventually.
dogwant, I'm so glad you're being a responsible pet owner and having the little one spayed. Sounds like that little dog has it made, and you're well on your way to raising a loving, loyal companion whose lifetime will be spent content. Good for you!
I'm not familiar with the mini's. The Giants make for very good pets, but aren't very good with small kids, and do tend to be aggresive towards other dogs. They are not aggresive towards small children, and are very loving and like playing with them, it's just that their size can knock them around and hurt them. Of course socializing them with children and other dogs help especially if done at a young age . My brother has a 3 year old Doberman Pintcher and a 3 year old Beagle and when Bertha visits with them, which is almost everyday she just doesn't leave them alone and always wants to play. They seem to realize that she is just a baby, and for the most part all get along . I have no problems with having people over the house as she takes to them very well. Just about 2 weeks ago she started to show her protectiveness and barks with authority when someone comes to the door, but once i welcome them in she does also..She's 5 month's old and weighs just over 50 lbs. She's got a good appetite like the rest of us in the family, and it is just a pleasure raising. It took us a while to find the right breed for us, and even longer to find her, but was worth the wait .
