Going to the dog park tomorrow since it is suppose to be really warm. I am burrowing Gracie's dog frisbee since Gracie hates it. Shadow loves it, she chases, jumps and catches it! She could chase it for miles.
Her leg hasn't seemed to bother her when she does this. And I haven't been useing the pain medicine very often either! Once her surgery is done, and she's healed, I am thinking of training for for frisbee throwing or something.
Sounds like fun! I'm glad Shadow's doing well! I had a boston when I was growing up and she liked the frisbee. Only when she picked it up she would pick it up upside down and it would flip up in her face so she couldn't see where she was going! Poor thing! She couldn't really get it into her mouth the regular way, but she still loved it! It was so funny to see her running with it though!
There are frisbee teams for dogs. One group wanted my sister's Border Collie for their team. She was too busy and could not do it. They love to have dogs that jump with all four feet off the ground to catch the frisbee. You get more points. My sister's Border Collie loved to jump up with all four feet even when it was not necessary. It is great fun for your dog and such great exercise.
Yes, thats why I'm waiting to start it until her leg is fully recoved. I don't care if she's been acting like it doesn't hurt, she is not allowed to jump until it's healed. But for now, she likes chaseing them. =)
