My puppy is four months old and everyone told me to get her a Kong so I got the puppy kit at Petsmart for 20 dollars it comes with the treats to fill it up with and the peanut butter do you think that it's worth it because some people told me that is expensive and is it really worth getting for her because sometimes she chews on stuff.
I wouldn't buy the kit myself though. I'd get a kong, and a jar of cheese wiz or peanut butter. I personally prefer the light version of both. There are many things areound the house you can put inside... Like yogurt, dinner leftovers... But keep it simple at first.
I love the kongs...they are great to keep them busy. One mistake I made in the beginging was to put too much peanut butter in it. I was told after that to just smear some on the inside. I then put some kibble in it. A few good smelling treats, cut up small. I sometimes will mix in some canned pumpkin...and she loves it. You can also get some great ideas from the website.
The whole point of the kong is to give the puppy the kong filled with goodies all the time so the pup will fixate on the kong. As the pup grows up, hopefully he will seek out the kong for enjoyment instead of your new shoes.
