You mean you live in another country and you are interested in purchasing a puppy in the US and having it shipped to you? If that's the case, first off go to the national breed club website. Look for breeder referrels and get phone numbers/email addresses/internet sites. Initiate contact with them, find out more, ask for contact numbers of other puppy buyers, info on health guarantees, etc. Basically all the stuff you would do if you lived in US and were looking for a breeder, honestly. A breeder might be able to refer you to a breeder in your own country, too.
Hi micahpk, I just finished browsing some breeder sites and found that the prices do vary. I dont know if your looking for a show quality pup, or just want one as a loving companion. If you look at the breeder section on this website, you will find a few breeders with prices relatively less than $2000. Another site you might want to check out is www.puppyfind.com where the prices are also a bit less. Even if i had to spend a few dollars more, i would buy my pup here in the states. Like turdburgerlar20 stated , if you have any sort of problem with a pup that you purchased in another country it would be very diffecult and more costly to rectify the problem. Good luck in your search and keep us posted as to when you get your new pup.
Something else to consider is shipping cost. I would think that would push the price right back up there. I have had dogs shipped to me here in US and it is usually 250 - 300. PLUS the vet health certificate ($50.) Shipping a dog is tricky business. It requires certain temperatures (not too hot or cold) along each and every leg of the journey. I had one dog shipped to me and her flight was cancelled 4 times due to incorrect temperature. I would also think international shipping may require a quarrintine...it does if you ship a pet to Hawaii. It is also kinda hard on the dogs.
