To everyone who responded with their insight and personal stories, I thank you much! Ali and huron, I do feel much better after reading your extra supportive words, thank you.
Ali, you hit it on the head. He can be of 'low quality' as far as the breed standard goes, and frankly I don't care. I have no desire to show him, or use him for anything other than a loving lil companion for me and my other two dogs. I am firm on my decision to always neuter/spay any dogs I get, so if he isn't a good representative of his breed, no matter. And if he is, well, that doesn't change anything either.
I have learned many lessons from all of your information here, and I thank you again. I know better now, but I am also able to not feel so guilty now, either. And yeah, I think with my love and training and socializing him, he will do just fine. I just hope and pray all those little mommas and studs have a good life!!
NP Isabella..I am glad to shed some light at the end of a tunnel.. I hope you do feel better about your decision..I am sure all will be fine. BTW...what kind of pup are you getting? Let us know...And I wish you the best with your new pooch...Take care
