Logan is beginning to teethe...I feel so bad, he has good days and bad days, on the bad days, like to day, he just lies on his bed crying and swinging his head side to side, biting everything in sight... I tried freezing the Nyla bones, but they dont stay cold for long, plus he looses interest in them quickly. I dont want to give him Rawhide in fear of him getting some parasitic infection. And the puppy rawhide, is good, for about 3 minutes.
Is there any numbing medications? Doggie asprin? Can i use baby oragel, or something like that? I feel so bad, because i know he is in alot of pain, and as a parent i feel compelled to do something...HELP!!!!
My 5 month old english bulldog is also teething. When they start to hurt him he grabs his big stuffed animal, puts his mouth around it and just sucks on it like a pacifier. It's really funny looking but it seems to help. I guess every dog is different but that's what he does to relieve his pain.
I've used frozen washcloths, lots of ice cubes.. They are fun 'prey' on tile floors.. Easiest toy imaginable.. Frozen carrots, califlower and green beans.. Frozen strawberries.
And when it hurt so badly she started to eat the baseboards and nibble on the fire place bricks, I gave her an empty 2 liter pop bottle.. she went to town on it.. After about 3 days I replaced it for a new one..
mafia, Logan has needles for teeth and a huge strong jaw.....He ate through a kong in a day!!!!! imagine what he would do with a soda bottle? but its a good idea....He had a toy that was a soda bottle, plush, with a plastic bottle inside. That lasted for about a week when he was 8 wks of age. Today is his 13th week bday
