Well, we saw 4 dog deaths here in Auburn Mass. in February. 1 dog and 1 cat in Oxford Mass. All within a week of each other. 4 different households, 4 very healthy dogs. Tufts vet kept saying poisoning of unknown pathogen with subsequent kidney failure. Just got notified of a Pedigree recall with Vermont spearheading the issue. Wish we had known sooner
There was an overseas recall of Pedigree dogfood made in Southeast Asia (thailand, to be exact), but I hadn't heard of any issues with dog food in the US on any of my boards. Kelly was right on this one though, it looks like it's all pedigree dog foods that need to be recalled, not just the ones sold in Asia.
I live in Canada and my pomeranian has been on the Pedigree dry food for a couple of months already. Are there any concerns for Pedigree dog food being sold over here? He had hard times switching to other dog food and I'm wondering if there are any reported problems with Pedigree in Canada...?? I'm kinda worried.........
I can not find any information about a Pedigree recall in Vermont...or anywhere in the US or Canada. Not saying that there isin't one...but I checked with a food recall website and the only official recall on Pedigree they have is out of their plant in Thailand. They have however...expanded the recall to include several more places where Thailand ships their food. It was apparently mold. Abby...can you give us anymore information ??
