i was wondering if any of you use natural food? If so what brands are good in decresing stools? I feed Nutro now but it seems to make them go like a goose. I was looking at chicken food for the soul. But i have heard it's not good. Any oppions would be greatly thank full
I feed my chi a natural "freeze dried meat". It's from Noah's Quest and it's wonderful food for my dog. She doesn't get dog food anymore. She poops so much less now as her body is absorbing all the nurtrients in the all natural food. Her coat is so much healthier her teeth get NO tartar at all. Great product
i recently switched to chicken soup for the puppy lovers soul and am INCREDIABLY happy with it. my dog loves it and it has excellent ingrediants and only natural preservatives. it is what is known as human grade kibble, i will never again feed a mediocre (sp) food.
Khan is currently being transitioned over to Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul (Adult). If you have a large breed puppy get the adult and not the puppy formula--has high protein which will make him grow faster, which you DON'T want--He was on diamond Lamb meal & rice (Adult) and got really bored with it. He loves the chicken soup and his stools seem a little firmer than before!

Chicken soup as I was told is very much like Innova. We tried Innova, they did well on it, except my ppodle had tear staining. My other poodle had tried the chicken soup but was gasy and her poops were looser. So we changed. I currently am trying out a holistic food called Artemis. I will be putting all three on it I beleive.
Hi, I just switched my scottie over to Chicken Soup for the Dog ... (dumb name, but great food). He started on Innova-barely touched, then Wellness-liked more than Innova then tried California Natural when the store was out of Wellness- picked at that. Mind you all of these foods he wouldn't touch unless they were mixed with the canned dog food. Well he has always loved the Chicken Soup puppy canned which i mixed with the Wellness dry. So I though I would try the dry Chicken Soup now that he is an adult, well this little guy wouldn't leave the bag alone and it is the FIRST dog food he would eat dry....he devours it! He actually knocked the dog bag over (never ever did this before so putting the bag away was never an issue) and ate it while we were in the next room...mommy and daddy were happy though! I agree with there label, it can be the healthiest dog food but if your pet won't eat it, it does no good. Well I feel this food is the best of both worlds and he looks great and he enjoys eating it. I say try it out our local store had a 1lb. bag sample for $1.99. And to think I almost didn't try it because of the cheesy name, I thought it must be a "commercial" brand and no good, i was wrong.
