I don't have fleas, fortunatly, but I am moving hopefully by the end of summer (yay) and plan to treat my new property. Many of my friends with kennels use Nematodes to help eat and tick eggs and stop infestations.
People who live in heavy flea areas have used them to great effect as well. Just tossing outa heads up for anyone who may have yard infestation problems and are looking for a natrual solution.
I've never used this product, or heard of it, but I found the information on the website very interesting. You'll have to let me know how it works out. So far we've lucked out and not had a real bad problem, but I know others down here who have. Where are you moving to? Good luck with it all. We've just moved recently, so I know how hectic it can be! Good luck!
Another possibility is Pyrethrins or Rotenone Pyrethrins. Pyrentrin is a poison derived from the root of crysanthemums. It is highly toxic to both insects and people. However, it breaks down extremely quickly (24-36 hours in the case of Rotenones).
You can get Pyrethrin bombs for your house, and then stay out for a few hours and they do quite well. The Rotenone is sprayed in the yard, and should be kept clear of your dog for about a day.
Another option is diatomaceous earth. DE is a powder made from ancient fossils of single celled organisms. They tend to be sharp at the microscopic level and actually cut the fleas to peices (just feels like lime dust to us). You can sprinkle it over your carpet and then just walk around on it for a week. Then vacuum it up. Its messy, but it works well for fleas in the carpet.
These are organic methods, and are a great alternative to some of the synthetic pesticides.
The best way to get rid of fleas is with Avon's origanil skin so soft give your dog a bath in it spray it on the carpets etc. works great. Another option is to feed your pet Garlic/ garlic pills fleas for some reason can smell this in the blood of the animal and they just stay away from the animal Both are safe and no harmful chemicals like with flea and tic bombs that dont work that great anyhow

Instad of is diatomaceous earth. DE powder , for which you would probably have no use after the fleas are gone .. unless you have an organic agarden : :-) .... you can use 20 Mule Team Borax in the same same way as the DE powder. Sprinkle on the rug generously and leave there for a day or two. It dries the outer shell of the fleas and eggs, causing them to suffocate. Once the fleas are gone and no longer a problem, the 20 Mule Team Borax can be used in tyour laundry.
