Of school!!! And I made the honor roll with my grades, so I'm VERY happy about that! During summer I can be on more, and will be able to spend more time with Shadow! I'm going to pet-sit, and I'm really excited!!!!!
School's been out for the kids here for 2 weeks. I get to start my 4 week vacation tomorrow! YEAH!!! "school's out, school's out, teacher's let the monkey's out...no more pencils, no more books, no more teacher's dirty look"! lol
Can you TELL I need that vacation?
Shadow, congrats on the Honor Roll, just think, you may very well earn yourself a scholarship and we'll be calling you DR. Shadow, our resident vet a few years from now!

Im also excited because Ill be able to spend more time with my puppy( I always feel so bad leaving her in the morning) I didnet make honor roll because I got a c- in Algebra 2, but all my other grades were a's so it wasent to bad. Congrats on your good grades!!! They usually made for a happy summer at my place..A's, B's equalled no harassment till it least after Labor Day..lol. Hope your heat wave is over, was watching weather channel other morning before work..seemed ridiculously warm in mid-atlantic. Stay cool.
Congrats on the honor roll, Shadow. My daughter could make it if she tried, but she feels school is useless. I'm glad you don't feel that way.
My two kids, age 12 and 13, are supposed to be out of school Wed., but today the power went out, so they didn't have school, so they may have to add one day, making it Thursday. I absolutely love having them home! I work less hours in the summer so I can spend time with them, or at least allow them to have friends over.
I'm thinking of getting a new dog after my vacation in July and my daughter is very good with dogs, so hopefully she can help me train it, since she'll be home more.
Shadowdog, that is great, i bet you are exited. It good though to wait untill your basics are really strong. I remember, when I started riding I spent so manny lessons going around on a lunge line. and doing poles over and over before I learned to jump. It never got boring though. When you finnaly get to do it, it will be so much better cause you will have better ballance and a more secure seat. I can not tell you how often people rush into jumping (or jumping too big fences) without being prepared. You will have to let us know how it goes when you and your coach think you are ready. Untill then, you can regail us with tails of flatwork and horsemanship.
