People come on here asking for problems like when people ask where can i find a puggle breeder you guys say the shelter she didnt ask for that she asked for a breeder i asked where can you find rare colors if you dont know dont answer just to get proven wrong and make you look dumb. Why do you guys start problems and then get mad when proven wrong?
Well that's kind of sketchy, your starting a problem yourself by starting this thread..people here try to help, yeah they sometimes include sarcasm, jokes..and as for shadowdog's "corny joke" I was laughing :-) ...it was only a joke..
Those people you mentioned are actually very good people who know a lot about things. I have never seen them get angry when proven wrong.
Also they say go to a shelter because a "Puggle" is a mixed breed that was bred by someone who is totally in it for the money. A Puggle is a Pug and Beagle mix. They sell them for thousands of dollars and it just adds to the population. Why do people buy from those "breeders" when you can SAVE A LIFE, there are plenty of dogs at shelters (Pug/Beagle mixes included), it's not the dogs fault the breeder bred their parents because there is a fad going on right now for the purposely bred mixed breeds. They didn't ask to be born, to be sold to someone thinking they wanted something "rare" and "new", to be abandond because the excitement faded and they found out they were too much to handle, or eventually put to sleep because no one wanted them.
We have nothing against responsible breeders or mixed breeds (most of us own mixed breeds and love them to death, some also own Puggles but you know where they got them from?...The shelter) but when someone comes here looking for a mixed breed breeder (who most are irresponsible and just in it for the money they can make) we tell them to look at a shelter. I see nothing wrong with that. They are just trying to teach that person about it.
You should go to http://www.petfinder.com and type in Pug and Beagle, you'll see a pug/bealge mix and then you'll see how many are in shelters. Maybe that will change your mind, maybe it won't.

The trouble that gets started is because when people ask questions they don't want to hear answers that don't paint them to be intelligent. If you are asking a question that implies that you want an answer from someone with more knowledge than you. Don't ask a question and then argue with the logic that someone gets you. Most of the time, while these are opinions that people give, they are well educated ones from folks who have been breeding dogs and have owned dogs (or cats) for many many years and have done their homework in the process in order for them to be well educated and to have answers to their own questions.
I wouldn't take this so personally, except that I find the people that you named to be very knowledgable. I don't always agree with what they say, but their opinions have knowledge behind them, unlike some of the people that I have read posts from.
Don't ask a question if you are afraid of getting an answer that you don't like. Constructive critism is how we all learn to be better people (my mother has been giving it to me all my life), dog owners, and in many of our cases, breeders. I WANT someone to tell me if I'm way off base on something but I want an explanation why. I think these folks tend to give it to you.
If you think this is harsh you should join my sheltie message board....
Here is a list of the "designer" dogs that people are breeding for thousands of dollars. People are just putting two different dogs together to make a "new" breed. Most are poodle mixes. Most sell for over $2, 500.
Labradoodles (lab/poodle) Goldendoodles (golden retriever/poodle) Cockapoo (cocker spaniel/poodle) Schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle) Weimerdoodle (Weimianer/poodle) Yorkipoo (Yorkie/poodle) Maltepoo (Maltese/poodle) Saint Berdoodle (Saint Brenard/poodle) Scoodle (Scottish Terrier/poodle) Shepadoodle (German Shepherd/poodle) Woodle (Welsh Terrier/poodle) Foodle (Toy Fox Terrier/poodle) Rottydoodle (Rottweiler/poodle) Shihpoo (Shih Tzu/poodle) Lhasapoo (Lhasa Apso/poodle) Pekeapoo (Pekenese/poodle) Puggle (pug/beagle) ...The list goes on and on...I find different ones almost everyday. These "breeders" are totally in it for the money. There is NO doubt about that!
All of them make me upset but especially the Goldendoodles because that is my favorite breed and the breed I own. It makes me mad because there are responsible Golden Retriever breeders out there. I'm starting to breed them and I'm doing everything responsibly...all health clearences, finding the right breeding/family companion dogs from other responsible breeders, etc. I'm not in it for the money at all, I want to try and help the breed by getting the parents health clearences and making sure they are showing the good things for their breed (great temperaments, breed standard, good health). Because of all the irresponsible breeders, aggressiveness is starting so show up in this breed and that is NOT what Golden Retrievers are supposed to be like.
Nicely said Mafia. Might I also add that it's people like the OP that start threads like this, yet ALREADY KNOW the answer that set people off.
Word to the wise. If you already know, then don't ask. If you don't already know and ask then expect some answers, and in some cases critisizm. And by all means, do not, I repeat do not, attack people after being answered with a straight forward, honest answer. If you don't want to hear the truth, then again, just don't post.
And do not misconstrue peoples answers to the puggle breeder question as rude, or otherwise. If I had a dollar for everytime I have seen the same question asked time and time again about where to find designer dog breeders, for breed XXXX then I would surely have alot of dollars. :) Common sense should dictate the necessity to do a little research before making an @$$ of yourself in a forum about pets. Google can and will do wonders.
