I was flipping through the channels the other day and the local channel was playing this band. They sounded HORRIBLE. I mean it sounded like someone banging on pots and pans.
Riley was chewing his bone when I turned it on and he jumped up so fast and stood right in front of the tv. He tilted his head to one side, then the other, back and forth back and forth. Then he barked, which turned into a long drawn out howl. He has NEVER howled before until this band was on tv.
So does that mean he was singing along with them (lol) or telling me to turn it off?
My dobe likes to watch Eastenders (a soap opera) an he always jumps up when the theme tune comes on. He loves it when other dogs bark on the t.v an always tries to get into the t.v ! as if he wants to play with them its funny watching his nose go bump-bump on the screen!
Prys don't howl, but brother can they bark! And they do everytime there is a show on that has BIG dogs barking.
They ignore the little ones, but will jump up, bark and try to push their wet noses through the screen.
There is a comercial that come to mind which caused a frenzy the first dozen or so times they heard it. It was a KFC commercial. Drove them NUTS! Not to mention how much fun I had wiping the nose prints off the screen!
Every time the tornado siren goes off, (dont ask me why, 7am, 12pm,1pm and 6 pm) my new GSD howls like a wolf. I think it sounds beautiful. I think its because she came from a farm and never heard it before. Now that she does that, my 4 Poms join in, I think it is funny.
I think the siren should only go off for a real emergency, because after a while you just tune it out. When we did have a tornado 2 years ago, it took me awhile to figure out it was going on and on.
