Since it is now summer, I havent been bringing Kiba with me to do my errands as the car would get hot and she'd overheat. When she does come with me, I'm afraid to roll her window down all the way in case she happens to jump out, but she gets so hot since I dont have an A.C. Also, when I am getting out of my care, she sometimes trys to follow me and I'm afraid that she'll one day jump out and get hit by a car.
Would it be a good idea to get one of those seatbelts that they sell at Petsmart? I'm worried that she'll freak out from not being able to move around in the car (she stands up and looks at the window and cries when I leave and is there watching for me to come back) when I leave her in there. Mind you its probably about 15 minutes max, if that at all.
A crate would just make her too hot, and I'd hate to not take her to the beach or lake since she'd get so hot in my care.
I tried 2 types of doggie seatbelts. I ended up with the one from petsmart. It depends upon your car how well it works, how much movement they can have. The right size of seatbelt should let them sit and lie down. Depending upon the car mine can stand as well, but not go anywhere.
