Ok, it's either my horomones, being pregnant and all, but I just couldn't stop laughing the other day.

I was filling out our entry forms for the upcoming terrier trials and here was my class name...

Working Bitch, so I called my sister and told her she should come, as they had a class for her. She thought that was pretty funny.

Then there was Bitch and Produce, my Mom works in a greenhouse and also grows produce, so she got a kick out of that one.

Sorry, this isn't my usual post, but I can be lighthearted sometimes too.

At my age, that shouldn't even crack me up, but it just does!

it has taken me a long time to get used to that word being used ot refer to a female dog. i am still not entirely comfortable with it. i guess mostly because of the derogatory connotations it has. i just prefer to refer to them as female dogs.

I have to admit that does crack me up sometimes when someone at a show says something like, "Now that is an elegant little bitch right there."

i have a hard time calling a female dog a bitch too....it shocks me everytime i see it LOL

I don't like calling them that either. It is JUST a word, but I don't like that word.

Someone called me when I was looking for a pup and asked if I wanted a bitch or a dog. I was totally confused at first because I had forgotten females were called bitches.

Don't feel funny about it. I feel funny saying b#@$% all the time about my girls. I just say my female ____ and then the breed. I was asking a store about some pills for my females for when they go in heat they are called b*&%^ pills. I could not say the b word so I kept asking if they knew anything about those pills, and pointing to them. The person had no idea what I was talking about and then really loud goes oh the b&^%$ pills? Everyone was looking! UGH!! I did not get them! To funny!

yeah, it makes me laugh when they say "What a beautiful bitch" I know it's correct but it sounds really stupid. ha

No... the word was taken out of its origin and used as an insult. Sadly, insults have a way of spreading, and instead of hearing "female dog" people here "nasty woman" when bitch is used.

Yet when we say bull we think "male unaltered cattle" and cow we think "female cattle that produces milk".

It is no diffrent. I use it correctly. I say bitch and I say dog and I say it because it is what should be said. A proper word should not be managled by a lack of apprecation for the usage of a language.

I for one will not allow others to dictate my use of correct english.
