Oh that's a terrible story. You know it's such a shame that humans have done this to these creatures. There are so many wonderful pits out there, but then then ones that have been ruined by humans makes them all in the "bad" catagory. Very very sad. I feel so bad for that family that had to give up that member of their family. I don't know if I could do it.
Well some of you may know that Pit-bulls are banned in parts of Ontario (maybe all of the province) and there are also rescue groups there that help owners find homes for their pets. We actually have a couple here that has rescued a few pits from Ontario since the ban was put forth. The police were trying to intervene but there's nothing they can do here (in BC) because there's no proof that the dogs were indeed residing in Ontario when the ban started.
This is terrible!! For the owners of these loved pets and for the pets to be seperated from their owners, though, we are glad is a p-lace for them to go. How long will it take for the law to understand it's the people who raise them this way and not the breed?! If they start using Chihuahuas to protect and fight will they be banned too? Any place to send donations?
