Please educate your self here as to why! Click on the below to view video's etc on the truth about how the Amish Millers REALLY treat the dogs! It is so discusting! Don't believe the internet adds either pushing their puppies for them.
Lancaster county puppy mills are sickening. Went to one a while ago and they had about 6-7 female bulldogs out in a fenced yard with little to no shade on a HOT july day. All had cherry eye to extremes. All looked like they wanted the hell out of there quickly. The males were all kept in the basement of the house. It was nasty. Made me want to smack the guy.
I have never experienced the conditions at one myself, but live near an Amish community and they line up at Flea markets with their pups for sale, they look terrible. And I have known several people who have purchased from these places and got the most unhealthy, genetically crippled dogs you have ever seen!
It is not that easy! If you will view the video I have provided you will see these are all USDA lic. kennels as required. It depends on the USDA inspector. Ever heard of greasing ones palm? Yep the same ones that look after the meat you eat......pretty darn sad!
Yep you are missing something. Saying I felt bad about it is one thing. I felt horrible. I wanted to crack the guy in the skull for being an idiot. You do not understand the Amish community. Maybe someone will get shut down at some point. They will be back up and running in a couple days at a different location. They are scam artists and are only in it for the money. And will continue regardless of the amount of them shut down. I do not say this lightly. Reporting to the BBB, SPCA's, local law, even at a state level you will hear the same thing I have just said. So before you judge me for disregarding my "duty" as an animal lover, try shutting one down yourself.
Why is it that sexual abuse and incest continue on a grand scale within the amish communities? It is not stopped because of the community. Now tell me which is worse Sexual abuse of children, and incest or puppy mills? Both are horrible in thier own way but if you can't stop something like the first how do you think authorities will be able to stop the latter.
Ps. I am in no way trying to equate one to the other, both are deplorable and both continue right under the publics nose.
someone posted several amish mill files before..so i know better then to watch...they are horrable..a fate worse then dead for the dogs they own...and if some one can watch these videos and still say puppy mills ar ok...or the dogs from them...they need there head examinied...we have a community by me also...and i dont know them at all..i just know not to buy from them..and especially not dogs...they are only a means to an end..they are not pets...sad to see...
i am about 45 mins from amish country. if you drive the pa turnpike you can spot some of the smaller kennels/runs. www.forrestridgekennels.com advertises "40+ breeds raised with family" every single day in abotu three local papers. breeds, mixes, starting $100+.
the amish view dogs as other animals- for profit. just as they do livestock. not as companion animals as most the rest of us do.
they are their own little self contained communities and while subject to the laws like the rest of us, it's like a time warp, if you've ever been there.
Exactly! They treat the dogs as Livestock/Property just like all the other non Amish Millers. I sent Admin an e-mail last night asking him to cancel the Amish add here on TP. It of course is his decision.......

It should say ALL puppy mills not just the Amish. I live close to a Amish community and we don't have any big millers in the area...so you can't say ALL Amish are puppy millers. I think it depends on the area you live in. I do a lot of business with the Amish in this area...and have never seen any evidence of local puppy mills.
