my llasopoo chews on everything shoes, wires remote controls eyeglases whatever he gets a hold of. no furniture thank god. he has 2 bones 3 balls stuffed animals and a tug rope but if we leave a shoe down on the floor and dont put everything out of his reach he will take it and start chewing it then we find him and he runs under the bed with it. how do we stop the chewing?
You dog is at a point where he/she is really starting to chew. My dogs are around that age to I mean the even messed up the door with paws and theeth . You might want to get your dog a chew toy and teach it to chew on that instead of everything else.
Puppy proof your house. Including wires, picking up things they shouldn't get into just like you would with a baby.
As far as him chewing on things like chair legs and stuff that simply has to stay where it is, spray it with bitter apple spray or something along those lines that is unpleasant to the taste.
Get him a kong toy and fill it with a treat that will take him a while to work out of it.
If he is chewing on YOU let him chew on your hand do not pull it away, they will see it as a game. Tell the dog NO, NO BITE. Not screaming at it, but in a nice low even tone. When the dog stops the behavior and starts to do something good like lick you or chew on a toy, give it a treat and tell it GOOD BOY/GIRL! This way you are not only focusing on teaching the unexceptable, but teaching the puppy positive behavior.
You could also try to rub something that will not harm the dog like the stuff they use for teething babies once in a while on his gums where the teeth are pressing to come through. Or try to give him some little pieces of ice to chew on.
