It was a big event sooooo many pets needing homes. It was in Westchester, at Manchester Park, Calif. I was amazed at how many aplicants we got for the adoptable dogs. Amazing. soooo many people there just because they love these furry creatures so much. I sometimes wonder if the dogs and cats of the world are really the ones in charge. They have us wrapped.

I hope so too. I just wish the big galloof Maverick could find the right home. He's so big and strong. I see people taking him out to see him, but what a big presence he has. Needs a strong man handler. A nice one too at that.
I wanted to go to the festival so bad, the chihuahua rescue was down there so I was hopefully looking at getting a chi, but I couldn't make it. I glad to hear it went well. Hopefully there will be a lot of needed adotions as a result. If anybody has pics I would love to see.
I forgot my camera, thats not like me. There were chi's down there. There was one that yanked my strings. A very tiny slim deer type that had a deformed hind leg. I think it was born that way. But this little chi was sooo sweet and friendly. Thats the one that stuck in my head. There was a guy there with these tiny mill poms. the small ones that you see on the akc shows, plus a few poodles. They were so shy, they sort of just shut themselves down to the situation and just tried to cuddle up and pretend there was not alot going on around them. Tons and tons of dogs though, bull dog rescue even.

Chimama, there were so many, I did not get their web addy, sorry. You missed a good time, but there will be more. The big galoof is supposed to be bulldog-sharpei mix but everyone looks at him and say pit. I see american bulldogs that I confuse with pits, so he very well could be, but he's a lover.
