I have a 5 month old half chow half akita puppy named cheyenne and a day ago she has started losing her teeth. the first one she lost was her canine (i think) the long fangs on top. Then today she lost the other canine and 2 of her back teeth. That's 4 teeth in the matter of 2 days is this normal. I don't even see any other teeth growing in. I don't remember this happening this way with my previous dog. Can someone please give me some advice I'm just worried something is wrong with her.
My lab is now 19.5 weeks old. I know that her vet pointed out at 15 weeks that she had a permanent tooth in. I think she has lost already several of her baby teeth. I however haven't found any of them. By the way, your pup might drop her teeth somewhere or even swallow them. From what I've heard, it's quite normal.
Wow your dog is losing her teeth at 5 months. Usually dogs have their permanant teeth growing in at 5 months. Maybe her teeth are just coming off at a faster pace and at a later time. If your dog hasn't been chewing on anything it shouldn't be too surprising that her teeth are coming off now. My dogs teeth came off at a rapid pace as well, so there's nothing to worry about. I think it's perfectly normal.
