I'm really starting to feel hopeless. I have one breeder who currently has puppies available, but it'll be two weeks before I have the money for a deposit and there's already someone looking at the females (she has chosen one, but hasn't put a deposit on her). And I can't find anyone else who will have puppies soon but not too soon. It's feeling like Frosty will be a geriatric before he has a playmate. Also, while I'm here, I might as well ask the question I have. What time do you think is too late to call a breeder (same time zones)? I was going to call at 8, but that seemed kinda late. Dumb question, I know, but I'm desparate here.
You should take your time!. I'm pretty sure the breeder will have another litter. Buying puppies or dogs, sometimes takes months and years. Be patient, you will find your pup. I'm actually thinking of getting a siberian husky, but I need a fence. I'll probably will get it done by next month. I know the excitement and the thrills is kiiling you, and I feel the same way. To answer your question, I think 8:00 is rather late to call.
Slow down. This is not an emergency. When you are fully prepared financially there will be a puppy. I looked for 5 months before I even made a decision about my newest dog. My other dog is 3. They took a couple of days to adjust, but they are both getting along wonerfully now. They shared a bowl of dog food this morning even though there are 2 avaliable. Give this some time. there is no reason to rush. Breeders have new litters all of the time.
hang on, don't rush. i know the feeling. as popular as labs are it took me a year to find my puppy. once i found 3 breeders i wanted, one needed a c-section and some of the puppies died, the next reabsorbed all the puppies (7). the third had a great litter of 9 and that's where my lab came from. all of this was a year of waiting. when i got my 2nd dog my lab was 3 years and they hit it off wonderfully. frosty can still accept a puppy when he is a bit older.
Looking for the right breeder and the right puppy takes time. Don't stress out over this. Everything will fall into place at the right time. When we got our boxer back in January, we already had a rottweiler (he just turned 4). They hit it off great and are the best of friends.
your lucky frostygirl, I would love to get a puppy for my birthday. one christmas I asked my dad for a pom puppy, so when christmas came we went over to my aunts and he started saying, melissa your really going to like your gift, I had to play with it first to make shure youd like it, and al thiss other stuff, so of course I thought puppy, no it was a stupid nintendo 64. I was so dissapointed. I tried to talk my boyfriend into putting his mney with my moms money and getting me a puppy, but probebly wont work. any Ideas? good luck frostygirl. hey what kind of pup are you getting?
I just e-mailed someone about a female toy poodle, they live about an hour away from me. I found the ad on pet finder. com (spacing so its easier to read) so wish me luck :) and good luck with your pup frostygirl, are you getting a female?
