I don't want to breed or show at all. I just can't decide because I like both breeds and this what I have narrowed it down to now I just need to coose. But before I choose I just wanted to make sue that they were both good breeders for just a pet quality dog.
I couldn't even get to the first link. As for the second link, I don't think very much of what she says. It sounds like she's more concerned with selling dogs for the money. Not to be rude, but if you don't plan on showing or breeding a dog, why would you spend that much money for a pet when you can get a wonderful one from a rescue organization or even the humane society. There are so many dogs who need good homes

If you are serious about Pomeranians, you can learn a lot from a gal that I used to work with, Char. She shows her dogs all over the US and Canada. She lays claim to owning, raising and showing the youngest, fastest finishing parti Pom in the history of the breed. She knows her Pom's and should be able to answer any questions that you have of the breed.
This will give you an idea of the quality of dogs that she shows, it is not meant to promote her website, just to allow those of us that are unfamiliar with the breed to appreciate it a bit more.
Hope you enjoy looking at all the different Pomeranians that Char has, there are dozens of any color you can think of.
This is a woman that has done her homework on her dogs and shows them with pride.
All the rescues close to me don't have any purebreed chis. My mom would like me to buy in CA near my home because of what happened with the other puppy. I only have about $500 or $600 to spend. I don't want the ladies poms anymore but what is the problem with the chihuahua website because she is answering all of the questions that I have to ask to see if it is a reputable breeder. She has offered to make my garuntee my money back or a new puppy, which ever I like. The puppy I am looking at has full registration. What else should I ask for? Anything, advice, whatever, would help.
*, Char's website got deleted, but the backyard breeders websites stay?
I don't understand that. Char shows her Poms, she's not a backyard breeder, she raises quality Pomeranians that she shows.
Maybe Terrific Pets supports backyard breeders as opposed to promoting quality show dogs?
That is messed up, big time.
Anyone else think so?
*Bassett, sorry...I didn't see the link to the others earlier but have edited them now. Not sure how the one you posted was deleted, not me though. As long as the site is not selling pups, I'm ok with them.

I just don't unerstand why it has to be a purebed Chi or a purbred Pom. What's wrong with getting a mixed breeed or a resuce dog and saving a life? There are lots of small mixed breeds at shelters and rescue organations.
