I just wanted to share a picture my friend put on line of my puppy Duncan. Here is the web site: http://www.jamiekendall.net/duncan.htm In the picture he is 5 months, but he is now almost 8 months old. Duncan is a cock-a-poo puppy that I rescued from the local animal welfare shelter. Does anyone else have web pics of their babies?

It's been a busy week at Talbot Hill Beagles. One week ago we whelped a litter of 7 puppies and just two days ago, on Easter Sunday, we whelped another litter of 7 puppies. We haven't had babies for a year and a half, and now, two litters at once! I'm exhausted! :) Photos of the puppies can be seen on our web site at http://www.talbothillbeagles.com/Puppies.html Click on "Tryst's Litter" and "Chelsea's Litter" to see photos.
davis, your puppy link doesn't work because you put a period after the html part of it, so it thinks you are trying to add a file extension. I could edit for you, but didn't want to just barge in and do it without giving you a chance to. That said, if you follow the link and it takes you to a 'no page' site, backspace so the link has no period after the html. That said, the puppies are adorable hehe. Here are links to our akita Ramoth that we used to show, she now lives with my mom and grandma http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b3d629b3127cce8c05f8ca61020000001610 And heres a pic of our mixed breed dog Bowen http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b3db31b3127cce97b5253302280000001610 When I took this picture, our other dog was getting a bath, he has a clear expression of 'nyah, nyah, it's not me getting a bath this time!' ;)
Those are such cute puppies! Here is Tryst http://www.talbothillbeagles.com/Tryst's%20Litter.htm Here is Chelsea http://www.talbothillbeagles.com/Chelsea's%20Litter.htm Hope you don't mind Davis. What pedigrees too!!! That's a lot of show time. Minniyar those are great looking dogs. Akitas look so powerful and dignified!
Davis, do beagles typically look black and white like that at birth, and 'brown out' a few weeks later? I've never seen such young beagle pups before. I know akitas go through a lot of changes color wise too.
Thanks for posting those links, rarelamb! Yes, they are impressive pedigrees including some of the top beagles from the US, Australia, Finland and England. Chelsea was the top producing bitch in the US in 2002, now with 11 US champions and 2 Canadian champions to her credit. Her daughter, Tryst, already has 3 US champions from her first litter.
Minniyar - Yes, the tri-color puppies are black and white at birth. The black gradually fades throughout the life of the beagle, some more than others. Tryst's puppies are already starting to show some brown in their coats. Red & white puppies are sometimes born completely white, others, like Edgar, have some pigment at birth and the red will become darker and darker in the coming weeks. My very first litter of beagle puppies was a litter of 5 red & white girls. They were born completely white and we had to paint their toenails for the first 3 weeks in order to tell them apart. "Rosie" is my keeper from that litter.
