Hey everyone! I am just wondering if anyone has had or had experiences with Cardigan Corgis before. I am thinking about adopted one from a friend and it is 4 months old and very sweet. I have heard that they can be agressive towards other dogs but then again I know that it is all about the specific dog and you can't sterotype. I just want to know if anyone knows anything or has had them before. Thanks
Well, I know they're more active than Pembroke Welsh Corgi's.. and I couldnt imagine that, I have a 4 month old pembroke corgi and he is just a BUNDLE of energy. Runs ALL over the place.. I've read they can be aggressive with other dogs, but fine with non-canine animals.
Meredith just courise (sp) where did you get your information.
Cardigans are less intestes then the pembroke and are more layed back.
Other diffrences are that the Cardigans have rounded ears instread of pointed, they have tails so they wag instead of wiggle, they come in more colors, and they are larger and longer bodied.
I have both pembrokes and cardigan. The cardigan we got was a rescue so she has a lot of bad habits. Other wise she is a great dog. Just like my pembrokes she has the herding desire and will take off after the park duck if she can.
I would suggest you go down to PetCo or PetSmart and get the Corgi magizine. It tells you about both breeds.
I would love to get another Cardigan, but they are hard to find. That is way we ended up with the rescue.
